Oleochemicals
The chemistry of renewable raw materials
Pure vegetable products – sustainably certified
Oleochemistry – formerly also called fat chemistry – is based on the processing of vegetable and animal fats, which in chemistry are called triglycerides. These consist of one part glycerol linked via ester bonds with three fatty acids. The fatty acid residues consist of saturated, mono- or polyunsaturated, unbranched or branched carbon chains. Many derivatives are generated from these building blocks, e.g., fatty alcohols, stearates, esters or soap raw materials. With its diverse products, oleochemistry offers sustainable alternatives to petrochemical products.
Our range of oleochemicals is derived from natural, renewable and sustainable raw materials. The products of our supply partners have been firmly established for years in a wide range of application areas. Our products can be found in detergents, construction chemicals, plastics and lubricants as well as in cosmetics and food & feed.

Vegetable fatty acids and glycerin
Vegetable fatty acids are obtained from palm or palm kernel oil and are nowadays the basis of many cosmetic products manufactured on the basis of renewable raw materials. Sustainability and the responsible use of natural resources are an integral part of HOC's corporate philosophy. We and our supplier EVYAP support the production of Sustainable Palm Oil and offer products based on RSPO certified raw materials.

Stearate & EBS
Stearates – also called metal soaps – are the salts of fatty acids in combination with selected metals. Metal soaps are used in many different applications because they offer impressive advantages. They are among the most important stabilizers in the field of plastic additives (PVC, PE, EBS and others) due to their excellent stabilizing properties and sliding effect. The hydrophobic properties of stearates are suitable for use in the field of building protection. HOC offers a wide product portfolio of stearates, which are used in many different applications.

Soap Noodles (soap bases)
Soaps are the oldest cosmetic products known to mankind. Recipes for the production of soaps for body cleansing are already mentioned in the cuneiform writings of the ancient Babylonians. Today, surfactants have partially taken over the function of soaps as detergents, but many cosmetic products still contain natural soaps. EVYAP is one of the leading manufacturers of soaps and soap raw materials. From Multi Purpose and Translucent to Medicated and Premium Soaps. Application: Production of a wide variety of bar soaps.
